Ashley Mason, a Senior at Wagner High School in Converse, TX became the third student athlete from the South Texas area to be selected to receive support from AQUAS. As a result, The College Promoters of Texas and AQUAS will be jointly promoting this outstanding young lady to college coaches throughout the United States.

Ashley, at 5′ 11″ in height, is a dominant Middle Blocker for the 5-A Wagner Thunderbirds. So far in 2009 Mason has helped put her team in the hunt for the District 27 title. With a 7′ 8″ standing reach and a 24″ vertical, Ashley has accumulated 17 solo blocks and 30 assisted blocks, to date, while her team has recorded a W16-L9 record. Her 14 service aces have contributed in a big way toward her team’s success.

Ashley Mason is not just volleyball! She is active in her school activities and her academic performance should result in receiving the attention from numerous college coaches. This bright young lady is a member of the National Honor Society and has 11 honors classes on her record. When taking the SAT during her junior year she had a 3-part score of 1550.

Again, the AQUAS Board feels very fortunate to have an enrollee that has the credentials of Ashley Mason and her characteristics that fit so well with the AQUAS ideals.

Colton, standing at 6’4″ and weighing 247 lbs., was a dominant lineman for the Lytle Pirates. He received All-District honors on both offense and defense. AQUAS CEO Hugh Mulligan noted that “Colton was selected because of his all-around performance both in the classroom and on the field.” This is very apparent in the fact that he was very involved in school, and church, gave back to his community, and was involved with Scouting. Mulligan believed that Colton was a “very special young man.”
